LOUDOUN YOUTH INC. DISTRIBUTES GRANTS TO LOCAL CHARITIES TO BENEFIT YOUTH ACROSS THE COUNTY
The Distribution followed hugely successful golf fundraiser held at Creighton Farms Ritz Carlton Golf Club
July 7, 2008 Leesburg, VA: Loudoun Youth Inc. was proud to host their annual grant distribution on June 24 at Creighton Farms Clubhouse in Leesburg.
This year’s recipients of funds included the Alternatives to Violence Project at Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center; Youth Financial Literacy through Reality Store; Loudoun Interfaith Relief Emergency Food Distribution; Ethics Day at Stone Bridge High School; and Piedmont Arts Foundation Theater Project.
“The distribution of this money is so important to advancing the mission of LYI to assist Loudoun’s youth-serving agencies in obtaining the resources they need to more effectively provide our children with the opportunity to ‘grow-up well’ in Loudoun County,” noted Carol Kost, President of Loudoun Youth, Inc.
The distribution came shortly after Loudoun Youth Inc.’s recent major fundraising event at the Premier Creighton Farms Golf Club. The event drew major donors from all over the region, raising almost $200,000 for Loudoun’s youth. Major donors to the event included Ron Masci; Randy Beeman; Mark Stavish; Juno-Loudoun LLC; Inova Loudoun Hospital; Broadlands Regional Medical Center / HCA; Morgan Stanley; Miller and Smith; Nemea security services LLC; Turner Construction; Beckstrom Electric; and Barrister Digital Solutions.
Loudoun Youth, Inc. is a 501(c) non-profit Virginia corporation engaged in fundraising for the benefit young people in Loudoun County. The organization is part of a public- private partnership with the County’s “Loudoun Youth Initiative” program. The Corporation was organized in 2005 in order to provide coordination of private donations and grants solicited on behalf of Loudoun County youth and supply financial resources to youth serving agencies in Loudoun County.
